This beautiful hotel was originally constructed in 1873 at the beginning of the Belle Epoque era, a time of artistic flair and optimism, just after the reign of Napoleon III. Purchased in 1933 by the Guinguene family it has remained a family run hotel ever since and today still retains many of its architectural features and charm.

The hotel, a member of the Chateaux et Hotels Collection, has a small and intimate feel to it and its enclosure within its 2000 m2 park makes it a haven of peace and calm in the centre of this bustling town. It enjoys an excellent central location in the heart of Lourdes close to major sights such as the Grotto and the Basilica. As you step out of your hotel, you step out into the Christian pilgrimage mecca of Lourdes with its hub bub of pilgrims flocking to visit the religious sights and the evening procession at the Basilica.

During the summer, the beautiful 2000m2 park is great for escaping for a bit of relaxation – sit and read a book in the shade of a tree or on the sun terrace by the pool or perhaps enjoy a dip in the heated outdoor pool. The warm and friendly bar serves up excellent cocktails and the pastries are a great choice to perhaps accompany that afternoon tea.

The onsite Brasserie is perfect for an evening meal on its pretty terrace overlooking the gardens during the warm summer months whilst the gourmet restaurant, Table de Fébus has an impeccable menu. For those looking for a more private dining option, the 24 hour room service is on hand. There is a fitness room and free gated private parking on site and Wi-Fi internet access is free in the hotel’s public areas.

The hotel comprises 82 elegantly furnished rooms decorated in a Napoleon II style and spread over 5 floors within the baroque style hotel building. They all have a warm and cosy feel and are mainly decorated in deep red tones with spacious modern tiled bathrooms. Some rooms have open or enclosed balconies with great views of the nearby Gave de Pau River or the Basilica.

With the Pyrenees just a short drive away from Lourdes, this is a perfect location for exploring the stunning natural beauty of the Midi Pyrenees. Natural wonders such as the Cirque of Gavarnie and the Pont d’Espagne are well worth a day trip especially due to the protected UNESCO status of the Cirque, The Pic du Midi is both a natural and engineering wonder offering spectacular views of the whole Pyrenees mountain range.

All rooms have views of the gardens and town as well as air conditioning, flat-screen TV, Satellite TV, a digital safe, a mini bar and a direct dial telephone. The bathrooms have a shower or bath with shower attachment, hairdryer and a separate WC.

Junior Suite sleeps 2 (ca. 30m2): Suite with a separate living room and a double or twin bedroom (each with a TV), an ensuite bathroom (with shower attachment) and WC. Located at the front of the hotel with beautiful views of the river, sanctuaries and shopping area. Butler service is included.

Private Master Suite sleeps 4 (ca. 100m2): Separate living room with leather armchairs, fire place and terrace access, dining room, an office with fax and internet and Laptop safe, a double bedroom with king size bed, a modern ensuite bathroom (with a corner bath, double vanity and separate shower cubicle) and WC. Located at the front of the hotel with beautiful views of Rue de la Grotte, and the sanctuaries and shopping area. Butler service and a turndown service is included.
