L'Ardoisière is located in Vielle Aure, a peaceful spot just 800m and 500m respectively from the “Pic Lumière” cable car and the new Gondola.  Whilst the former takes you straight to the famous “Pla D’Adet”, the latter takes you to Saint Lary 1700 with direct access onto the hills.

Recently built, L'Ardoisière is constructed in traditional Pyrenean style with the use of rustic stone, wood and slate. All apartments are located in two 2 storey buildings each with a lift and accessed via pretty gardens and walkways. Inside, the 76 apartments are fitted to a high standard with the furnishings giving it a homely and elegant feel.

A local shuttle bus (Blue Line #1) stops in front of the residence and runs every 20 minutes around the whole resort taking in the “Pic Lumière” cable car and the new Gondola and runs parallel the main drag.

 
L'Ardoisière has a great on-site indoor pool and spa centre with a sauna, steam room, frigidarium and numerous massages, wraps and treatments (all payable). Whilst the sauna and steam room and treatments are payable, each apartment has one free session in the sauna and hammam.

An added benefit for families is that the residence runs its own childcare service. “Le Jardin de Blanche Neige' (50m away) accepts children from 6 months to 10 years old. (Payable, must be pre-booked). Baby items can also be rented and loaned (see below).

Saint Lary is a picture postcard Pyrenean resort with a lively buzz to it. Known as the “Star of the Pyrenees”, it is based around one main road, meaning it is hard to get lost and easy to find everything. It is a lively village with plenty of activities for families and friends alike and has a great selection of restaurants and bars.

High above the resort is the area of Saint Lary Soulan, created in 1963 when the municipalities fused.  With up-to-date amenities and facilities and an excellent infrastructure to its three high altitude zones it is a firm resort favourite in the French Pyrenees.

All the apartments at L'Ardoisière in Saint-Lary are fitted and furnished to a high standard of comfort and convenience. The interior décor is stylish, traditional and homely with true alpine touches. They all have a fully equipped kitchenette with 4-ring ceramic hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee-maker and toaster; TV and a furnished balcony or a small garden terrace (ground floor).

1 Bedroom Apartment sleeping 4 (ca. 38m2): Open plan living/dining area with a sofa bed (converts to 2 single beds), 1 twin bedroom, bathroom with WC. Balcony or terrace.

1 Bedroom Alcove Apartment sleeping 6 (ca. 48m2): Open plan living/dining area with sofa bed (converts to 2 singles beds), 1 twin bedroom, 1 alcove with bunk beds, bathroom, shower-room & WC. Balcony or terrace.

2 Bedroom Apartment sleeping 6 (ca. 58m2): Open plan living/dining area with sofa bed (converts to 2 singles beds),  1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom (may be bunk beds) bathroom, shower-room & WC. Balcony or terrace.

2 Bedroom Alcove or 3 Bedroom Apartment sleeping 8 (ca. 65m2): Open plan living/dining area with sofa bed (converts to 2 singles beds), 3  bedrooms sleeping two people or 2 bedrooms sleeping two people and 1 alcove with bunk beds. bathroom, shower room and WC. 3 Bedroom Duplex with alcove or 4 bedroom Apartment sleeping 10 (ca. 70 – 84m2): Open plan living/dining area with sofa bed (converts to 2 singles beds), 4  bedrooms sleeping two people or 3 bedrooms sleeping two people and 1 alcove with bunk beds, bathroom, shower room and WC. May be split level. Balcony or terrace.

Please note: for any apartments at L'Ardoisière in Saint Lary that feature bunk beds, sleeping in the top bunk is not recommended for children under the age of 6 years old.

Please note: Building A has a Trees/Mountain view, Building B has road view with sun all day long; Building C has rear building view, Building D has mountain view (requests for views can be made but are all subject to availability).

Pre-Bookable Extras

Blanche Neige' (50m away) accepts children from 6 months to 10 years old from Monday – Friday, 08:30 to 18:00 throughout the winter season (20 Dec - 04 April) (pre-bookable and payable in advance or on arrival- subject to availability).
