This recently modernised boutique hotel in the centre of Barèges is a haven of contemporary. The hotel as an excellent central location and is also beside the babbling Gave de Bastan River that runs through the centre of the charming village of Barèges. With such a central location, all the amenities and restaurants and bars are on your doorstep whilst the ski bus stop and ski hire shop are literally a stone’s throw away.

Located in an original building on the main street of Barèges, it would have witnessed the rise of this small spa town at the foot of the Col du Tourmalet and the Pic du Midi back in the 1700s. Today the village still thrives on the acclaim of the beautiful Cielio spa located just a little further up the main street but also now attracts with connection to the ski area of Grand Tourmalet – Pic du midi, the largest in the Pyrenees.  

The small 14 room hotel has a minimalist design ethic whilst the décor throughout is based on the warm tones of red and grey. The bright and airy breakfast room with its small outdoor terrace backs onto the Gave de Bastan River as it babbles by on its route from the nearby mountains. The chic lobby bar with its fireplace is so elegantly minimalist and a pre or post dinner aperitif is accompanied by views of the world passing by outside.

For a small one off fee, hotel guests can use the small onsite spa area which comprises a sauna and Jacuzzi - ideal after a long days skiing the extensive ski area. The TV and comfy chill out area with its internet corner and free internet is a place where you could while away the hours simply reading a book or surfing the net.

The onsite stylish restaurant serves an amazing four course menu with choice of entrée, main and desert and can be accompanied with one of the many great wines on view.  The local fondue is to be highly recommended.

The rooms in the hotel are all located over 3 floors off the main reception and the lounge area and most are accessed by the lift. The newly renovated and decorated rooms with their sleek shower or bathrooms some of which have a separate WC. All rooms have access to the ski lockers with in the hotel and there is free public parking located just behind the hotel and payable covered parking just 30 metres away.

After all the exertion on the slopes and, a little pampering may be in order. Just metres from your hotel is the famous “Cielio” spa where the thermal spa centre and a range of treatments using its natural spa awaits. A mud treatment followed by a session in the heated thermal pool with its massage jets is an excellent cure for the weariest of skiers.

Each of the stylish and contemporary rooms at Hotel le Central has free Wi-Fi internet access, flat-screen satellite TV and direct dial telephone.  The bathrooms have a shower or bathtub with shower attachment, heated towel rail, hairdryer, bath products and in most cases a separate WC. 

Standard room sleeps room sleep 1- 2 (ca. 20m2): Double with ensuite bath or shower room & WC. (available for sole occupancy).

Comfort room sleeps 2- 3 (ca. 20m2): Double bed with lounge area with a day bed with ensuite bathroom with shower attachment or Jacuzzi shower cubicle & WC.

Privilege room sleep 2-3 (ca. 30m2): Double bedroom with lounge area with a day bed that can take a third person, with ensuite bathroom or shower room (most are with Jacuzzi bathtub or shower cubicle) & WC.
